The beauty and service at the Renaissance Arlington is only surpassed by the Queen’s service that my family and I received!
I cannot emphasize the wonderful experience that was had by our family!  The beds are as comfortable as our own, the water pressure was fantastic, the food was delicious, the staff was as friendly as our own family.

This is a stop that you should make, because there is no doubt that they would also treat you like a QUEEN at the Renaissance!

Visit my Carbon Cops page about this hotel and their corporate responsibility to the environment, as well.  They are impressive in every sense!

Carbon Cop Graduates

What a successful couple of weeks!

16 young minds + one great 2nd grade teacher + a supportive administration in the building + carefully planned and researched material = A Successful Graduation of New Carbon Cops!

As if teaching and graduating a class of 16 new carbon cops wasn’t enough, let’s add a film crew and very pretty representative from the EPA filming me teaching.

Two full days I got to interact with a part of the government that believes in the same things I do. I must admit, it was very intimidating to teach in front of officials and have all the mikes, lights, cameras and ACTION right there in front of me. I can freely admit that I was not expecting a full out crew full of awesome people including a producer and professional film and sound guys. I got scared when they came but I knew I had to act like myself to keep my youngsters calm and I was very proud of the way they acted and participated. I can’t wait to see the final product, and was more than HONORED to know that I was one of only three projects in the NATION to be chosen for Energy Star’s new website.  Look for the final project coming out on Earth Day, April 22.

I will keep you up to date – until then visit www.BeaCarbonCop.com for more information. And as always – Remember you can do little to save big!!

EPA = EXCITING!

Sunday, March 20th, 2011

Tomorrow is a very big day!
I am very excited!

It is the day that the Brittany Gordon and her film crew from Washington, DC will converge on our little school to film little ole me teaching Carbon Cops to 16 2nd grade budding environmentalists.  I cannot believe it is here and I am ready to WOW them.  I have a great new mascot Recycle Dog Riley, and she will be leading the recycling relay…after the kids learn about the 3R’s tomorrow.

Then on Tuesday, it all about the EPA and Energy Star.  Following class is their graduation into full-fledged Carbon Cops
Enjoy the great Environmental Photo that I have as my Carbon Cops Promo! Oh, and think of me as I work hard to impress the young environmentalists and the experts all at once!

In the News

My face was the front page of the local newspaper section of the Eire Times News and there was a great article, written by Jennie Geisler about ME.   Although it was not the article I expected, it was an awesome one!

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

Just received an interesting email from a contact at doSomething.org.  There is interest in my Carbon Cops Club that I created to educate K-2 grade students about reducing their Carbon Footprint.  Read more about that at http://www.beacarboncop.com/.  I will keep you posted!
